Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction and acceptance
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Edacity website edacity.org, purchases of digital and physical products from Edacity, and any services provided directly by Edacity Ltd trading as Edacity and Edacity Press. By accessing the site, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Who we are
- Edacity Ltd trading as Edacity and Edacity Press.
- Contact: contact@edacity.org
3. Products and services
- Books: printed books and ebooks sold via third‑party marketplaces (Amazon KDP, IngramSpark) and sometimes directly via our site.
- Digital Toolkits: downloadable PDFs and digital resources sold via digital product marketplaces and directly via edacity.org.
- Coaching, workshops, and bespoke services: offered selectively and at premium rates; availability is limited and subject to separate agreements.
Product descriptions on the site are accurate to the best of our knowledge. Minor variations in format, layout, or content may occur between marketplaces and direct sales.
4. Orders and contract formation
- Placing an order on our site constitutes an offer to purchase. We will confirm acceptance by sending an order confirmation email. The contract is formed when we send the confirmation.
- For third‑party marketplace purchases, the contract may be formed on the marketplace’s terms. We are not responsible for marketplace processing delays.
5. Pricing and payment
- Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices without notice but confirmed orders will be honoured at the price shown at checkout.
- Payment is processed by third‑party payment providers. You must provide valid payment details and authorise payment. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
6. Delivery and digital downloads
- Physical books: delivery times depend on the marketplace or shipping method. We are not liable for delays caused by third‑party distributors.
- Digital products: after purchase, you will receive a download link or access instructions. Links may expire; please download promptly. If you have issues, email contact@edacity.org.
7. Refunds, returns and cancellations
- Digital products: due to the nature of digital downloads, we do not normally offer refunds once the product has been downloaded. Exceptions may be made at our discretion for defective files or technical issues.
- Physical books: returns are subject to the marketplace or retailer’s returns policy. For direct sales, returns are accepted for faulty items only.
- B2B / school licences: cancellations and refunds for bulk orders are governed by the purchase agreement. Email contact@edacity.org for disputes.
8. Licensing and permitted use
- Single‑user licence: digital toolkits sold for individual use may be used by the purchaser only.
- School / organisational licence: separate licences are available for whole‑school use or multiple users. Licensing terms and pricing will be specified at purchase.
- Prohibited uses: you must not resell, redistribute, or republish our digital products without explicit written permission. You must not remove copyright notices or claim authorship.
- Customisation and adaptation: limited adaptation for classroom use is permitted under the licence; distribution beyond the licensed group requires additional licensing.
